Gargunnock Playgroup provides quality early learning and childcare, for children aged 2 ½ and over, on Mondays and Thursdays during school term time. The service is delivered by professionally qualified staff.
We run a themed Play Diary for the year to encourage diversity of activity and to introduce new areas of enquiry. All sessions combine free play, expressive arts activities, snack, discussion time, songs and stories. We have a large garden area which we use whenever possible. Please make sure children have suitable clothing for being outside (wellies and waterproofs are sometimes required for our Scottish climate!) and a change of clothing as sometimes accidents happen.
A voluntary committee manages Playgroup. A fee of £7 is charged for each session. We offer reduced rates for children attending multiple sessions – please ask a committee member for information.
We have a strong community focus and believe in working closely with parents and, as such, we operate a duty rota for parents to provide snack and to help out during sessions.
We welcome new members at any time. Please contact a member of the committee or our Playleader. Alternatively, you can call on our Playgroup phone (07564 755 919) although this is switched on during Playgroup hours only, please leave a message at other times. We maintain a secure Social Media presence but ask that direct contact via email or playgroup phone (07564 755 919) is used to pass on information rather than Facebook or twitter messages.
If your child is absent we ask that you contact Playgroup (07564 755 919) to inform the Playleaders. Playleaders are otherwise obliged to comply with our absent child policy and phone you to confirm the absence.
